Here one sneak peek and promo of ABC and CTV for the next episode

From TVFrenzy:

  • Looking good. I have been waiting for this episode for a very long time. 6 years to be exact. Richard is the man with the answers, and hopefully he will finally share at least some of them. Oh boy can’t wait. Check out my page for all sorts of Lost content… http://www.myspace.com/523981942

    • GeigerCounter

6 years you’ve been waiting? Heh, Richard wasn’t even in the show until season three 😉

  • Cool, but Richard isn’t in that sneak peek! Where is the Richard flashbacks to ancient / 1800s on the island? Heh. Can’t wait!

  • Ugly Smitty

Mesa, Richard is in two of the three promos posted.

    • I know…I was talking about the Sneak Peek. Just think it’s kind of weird that in a flashback episode (which it seems like because this is a flashback and there’s no flash-sideways peek) that the person whose flashback it is isn’t in the episode. Unless it’s Ilana’s flashback episode, which means the promos are throwing us for a loop.

      • Handsome Smitty

The Darlton said no flashbacks this season.

        • Smoked-Locke

Thy Darlton hath been known to lie once in a while.

          • kaptan36

Remember when they told us in the early seasons that they were NEVER going to add time travel to the show, after they were questioned about it a bunch of times?

          • tabletop1

Here here, Kaptan36! That’s a very good list of stupid. Do you think any of those things will be addressed? Especially them flashing off the plane. That’s the one the bugs the hell out of me.

          • Handsome Smitty

Not to mention plagarize – SIDEWAYS(c)!!!!

        • Rams

Perhaps they meant mostly no flashbacks. Because if they give us a flash-sideways of Richard next Wednesday, that would be the stupidest thing in the history of LOST.

          • kaptan36

really? Stupider than Nikki and Paulo? Stupider than “Meet Kevin Johnson”? Stupider than Goodwin’s wife randomly appearing then disappearing? Stupider than Ethan being born in 1977? Stupider than Jack, Kate, & Hurley, randomly flasing off the plane into 1977 with no explanation?

          • Handsome Smitty

YOu’ll get Richard telling his story so technically it’s not a flashback as we know it/them?

        • Jason

I’m guessing that, given his nature, Richard’s story might be shown in chronological order…

  • DeSelby

Least new information ever given in a sneak peek anyone? Not that this next episode needs any extra hype.

  • Ament

I can’t believe we are at the 1/2 way point of the final season.

  • Rooky

Now we need to start getting all the answers

Also I think Desmond is the one in the locked sub room.

    • adam118

      THAT would be sweet.

    • Ed Holden

Or maybe he brought a hydrogen bomb.

  • Kevin

Wait, so Ilana knew exactly who the candidates were? So why did she think Frank could be one????

    • Ament

Actually Bram I think was the one that mentioned it, then she noticed he was awake.

      • Annebeth

No, I think it was the other way around. Bram is like: why do we bring him with us? And she’s like: he might be a candidate…

I was wondering the same thing Kevin

        • jamesepowell

No. Ilana said that they would bring Frank along. Bram asked, Why? Do you think he’s a candidate? Ilana never answered that question.

  • adam118

Sweet! So it’s gonna be a hybrid Rick/Jake/Illana flashback? Sweet!
BUT…id like her to get her own.

  • adam118

btw, what’s up with that look tween Jack and Sun? Just sayin.

  • 108

Jughead v2 is in the locked room on the sub. I think desmond shows via the frozen donkey wheel somehow. Why would he? Because widmore brought penny on the sub.

    • Handsome Smitty

Or maybe it’s Penny locked up!?!

      • kaptan36

Judging by the average layout of a submarine and the size and location of the door, it’s probably the torpedo room.

    • tabletop1

I agree. It’s a bomb or something. Somehow they have to get that island to sink.

  • 108

    “desmond shows UP”

    • kaptan36

I think all of us r gonna be disappointed because I highly doubt that Desmond will show up in the island timeline. He will probably make an appearance in the alternate reality, but once an actor screws up, the producers have a habit of kicking them off the show, and Henry Ian Cusick screwed up. Having said that though, I will be really disappointed if he doesn’t play into the endgame somehow because it will be as if his being “special” was just a road to nowhere.

      • tabletop1

I will be furious if he doesn’t play an important role, or at least if his “specialness” isn’t explained.

  • Handsome Smitty

The Darlton said no flashbacks this season, so expect Richard’s story to be a “telling.” It’ll be interesting to see how they make this work.

And after last night’s dud, no matter what happens it’ll seem GREAT.

    • Ugly Smitty

Yeah, last night’s episode was definitely a dud. I haven’t been that bored with any episode of Lost since Jack’s tatoo had a flashback. Still, I can usually find something to enjoy about every episode of Lost, so only two complete duds in six years is a damn good track record. I just wish we didn’t get such a boring episode at this critical juncture.

      • Average-Looking, Slightly Balding But Makes It Work Smitty

I think this episode, just like the rest of Season Six will eventually be much more enjoyable. We are all just too impatient for the big BOOM at the end at the moment and its making the setup difficult to bear.

In other words, I enjoyed this episode, but can definitely see why it may come across as aggravating (still don’t see the point to Sideways World)

        • Handsome Smitty

I’m not impatient for the bigbaddaboom, just tired of throwing out more and more questions and so few answers. I don’t need hit-me-in-my-face answers, either. I’m perfectly capable of figuring out in-context information.

What makes this show a dud is we really don’t get a true feel what choice Sawyer is making. Charolette turning down his apology is not a good sign, but not all that clear. Likewise the plan to commandeer the sub. Or his intent for Cooper. I suspect Cooper has like so many others found their redemption earlier in the sideways(c) flashes: Obviously Sawyer’s story will somehow tie into Locke’s wedding and that’s when we’ll see him “let it go” I suspect. But right now, not so sure.

What I am less sure of is MIB’s…evilness? I had no doubt, but it being unclear if Widmore killed the remaining Ajira people or was it a Smokey job clouds all that for me (pun intended).

An overall frustratingly slow show. There’s suspense for the sake of drama, then there’s suspense for the sake of meeting an episode count.

          • amy

I wasn’t bored at all with last nights episode…maybe because I just love sawyer/james/jim/dimples…I have quit looking for answers in every episodes, and have begun to just enjoy LOST the same way I have for five other seasons, it is a good story. I like good stories, ones that intrigue and ignite emotions…I teared up twice in that episode! Okay maybe I am a bit overboard with the emotions, but really the scenes with Sawyer and Miles were great! And the scene with Flocke and Kate, well played! We did learn some interesting stuff here…MIB has mommy issues bigger than any other characters’ daddy issues, and he is relating it to Aaron…insinuating that Kate IS to be the one to raise Aaron maybe. This was the best sideways yet, I love that sawyer has gone in the complete opposite direction, choosing to be a cop instead of criminal, but at his core he is still the same hurt little boy looking for revenge. I wonder if he will leave charlottes apt and run into Juliet later “to get coffee”?

I feel the momentum building, even more so with this episode. I liked that this episode was true to LOSTs past and focused more on character building than just a checklist of answers.

I can’t wait till next week!

          • kaptan36

I agree. And what I really don’t understand is why not use more time to answer the many questions we all have, instead of just writing an episode to get the characters from point A to point B to setup the next episode. I know I’m gonna get blasted for saying this, but I really feel like the first 3 or 4 seasons the creators put alot of time, love, and effort into the show, and lately it’s become more like they don’t care as much because the show is already a money making success, and they are already looking toward the future.

          • Handsome Smitty

Is Doc plagarizing me or we just on the same wavelenghth!?!

This quote is from Doc’s EW overview:
Regardless, my guess is that Sideways Ford will get a chance to prove his moral metal when he finally tracks down Sideways Anthony Cooper at… Sideways John Locke’s wedding.

            WTF???

          • kaptan36

So you have 3 differnt post ID’s? And you post just to argue with yourself? Pretty sad.

        • Handsome Smitty

And by the way, how’d you know what I really look like!?!

          • kaptan36

I wouldn’t be surprised if Locke & James are brothers in the flash sideways.

          • Average-Looking, Slightly Balding But Makes It Work Smitty

There’s a good chance this is how most of us on this site look

    • I thought last nights episode was one of the best this season. And that definitely makes sense that it will be a telling, similar to “Meet Kevin Johnson.” The only thing that is confusing if this is a telling is where is Richard in that scene? Does it have importance to Richard? Is Ilana his daughter or something?

    • kaptan36

Like Carlton & Damon haven’t lied to us b4???? Well, they have. Numerous times in fact. I particularly loved how up until the end of season 3, they swore up and down that there would be no time traveling, and sure enough a great part of the story has to do with time travel. While the idea of traveling to Dharma times was cool, I think it wasn’t done properly and the continuity errors that arose from it added way too many holes to the story. While I loved the season 5 ending, I could’ve done without the time travel.

      • Could fill me in on some of those many continuity errors?

    • kaptan36

While I can’t wait to find out Ricard’s backstory, I think they really dropped the ball on this one because it should have been told in a flashback to get the full effect. I am also really starting to worry that they aren’t going to answer alot of important questions by the end. I think it’s heading to Jack replacing Jacob after an all out war. Maybe he picks Hurley to be his “Richard”. It’s sure as hell not gonna be Kate, Sawyer, Sayid, or Locke, replacing him. Jin & Sun maybe. They might be “Adam & Eve”. I wouldn’t be shocked if there is another turn of the frozen Donkey wheel too.
Is it just me too, or do all the main characters seem to be in no real danger at all this season? If they really want to add major drama & suspense to the finale, they should be putting the main characters in seemingly inevitable peril and even killing some off. Minor characters are dropping like flies though. It just seems as if nothing really unexpected is happening this season, with the exception of “real Locke” really not coming back. I’m not too worried about this though, because the writers always have a habit of throwing in a few “shock” moments towards the end of the season just for the sake of it, even if it doesn’t always make for good story telling.

      • tabletop1

        Agreed. Agreed. Agreed.

      • Benjamin

I thought it was apparent by now that the main characters cannot die..at least not very easily, due to their being candidates…aside from that though, I think there will be at least a few major character deaths in the future…as Darlton has said, the end won’t please everybody, but they think and hope it will be ‘satisfactory’. aka people will die.

        • BasiaK

Only “red shirts” and second bananas die on this show. Jack proved that you don’t die, no matter what, until the island is done with you.

  • kaptan36

Just out of curiousity; What would be the minor question that you would most want answered? Seriously let’s hear it. I personally would like to know how Dharma was still dropping food on the island after they had been wiped out for 20 years.

    • Jason

The producers actually stated in a recent podcast that they will be answering this question.

  • kaptan36

I also want to know why Libby was in the institution and what the “real” story was with her. I suspected she was working for Whidmore.

  • dudeski

    just wondering……

with all this talk of someone replacing jacob, do we know if the dark antagonist needs a replacement too?

    • Dharma77

I don’t think he NEEDS one, but I reckon there will be. In the form of Aaron. This is based solely on the idea of him and MIB having “crazy” mothers.

    • Glue your eyelids

I think he’s fine with his Locke-shaped incarnation. Apparently that’s all he needed to be set free from whatever prison he was in.

      • dudeski

i’m basing my assumption on the conversation between locke and walt during season one:

“two players. two sides. one is light – one is dark.”

  • kaptan36

I agree that there may be a replacement for him too, and I’m beginning to think that the smoke monster may be Aaron or Ji Yeon? Anyone else have any thoughts on this?

Side note; So Sawyer and Kate can’t fly the plane, but they can pilot the submarine? I know Sawyer piloted the sub w/ Kate & Juliet, but did ANY of them actually know how to pilot it? How many averages joes do you know who can pilot a submarine?

    • Seabiscuit

Guess they could kidnap the sub pilot.

  • tabletop1

With Richard’s story coming up, methinks we’re finally going to see mention of the Hanso Foundation – or at least the Hanso name.

    • kaptan36

about time damnit. Since season 2 they kept alluding to Alvar Hanso & the Hanso Foundation, and if the series ends w/ no Alvar Hanso, I will be disappointed.

  • Dharma77

I was excited for S1 pilot based off hype, and I’m now even MORE hyped for this as it’s been a build up. I really feel we are going to learn a LOT from this episode. Barely any new footage in these sneak peaks, I’m massively excited. I really hope we find out the relationship between Jacob/MIB/Richard. Also, I want this to be at least 80% Alpert-focused. He is clearly important in the Island’s story and we need – heck, we DESERVE! – to know his past. Potential Constant-beater here guys?

    • kaptan36

We are all gonna be disappointed. They should have done a Richard flasback episode.

  • cap10tripps

I’m wondering why Richard hasn’t been mentioned as a candidate. It would stand to reason that he would be the best man for the job. I actually think if it ends with a successor to Jacob that it will be Richard.

  • cap10tripps

Btw, I think we will see exactly how Widmore got there. My belief is that he needed to bring Desmond (who the island wasn’t through with) in order to get there, so he locked him in a room in the sub and headed for shore…

    • kaptan36

Well, I think you’re gonna be disappointed because I can almost guarantee they wil NOT show us how Widmore got to the island, leaving us to believe that he just happened to know at that time he would “magically” be allowed back to the island.

  • Annebeth

I’m almost sure this episode will have flashbacks, at HAS to.
And there is allready proof: the Jacob/Ilana scene is a flashback.

    CAN’T WAIT 😀

    • I’m definitely convinced now that it’s going to be a story telling similar to ‘Meet Kevin Johnson.’ We might have a little on-island storytelling going on, perhaps from around the fire pit at the beach, then we’ll cut to a very long Richard segment that takes up most of the episode. And then it will end with a big reveal either in the extended flashback or in real on-island time.

  • selmom

The six! Lapidis is one of them! Illana said it to the other guy on the beach when she knocked Lapidis out. “He’s a candidate.” Am I the only one who has just now gotten this? hah. Sorry if so.

    • dudeski

no, the other guy asked HER: “what, you think he’s a candidate?!” i don’t remember her exact reply verbatim, but i know it definitely wasn’t a confirmation

    • kaptan36

I’m guessing the six are Jack, Sawyer, Hurley, Kate, Sun & Jin.

      • Jason

I believe Sayid was considered to be one of the six…

  • arrow

If this was a book I would skip to the end.

  • Sandra

WTF!!!! This is a double flashback? Richard has been on the show for three years he shouldn’t have to share it with some lady who has been in about 5 episodes. Lame!

    • kaptan36

if that is true, I wholeheartedly agree.

  • Have you ever in your life gone to a marriage ceremony and felt bad for the groom because he harvested the biggest loser buddy to be the best man. It happened to me, we went a very upscale wedding and the Best Man’s speech was so bad that it was unbelievable that this dude was the groom’s best friend. Once they found the best man, he got up to the mic and presented this speech: “This couple, Bill and Monica are great and I hope their life is filled with fulfillment and all those things that make a marriage great.” This is what you get when you don’t prepare a speech. When I got married couple of years later I didn’t want my best man to be the topic of discussion for years to come so I sent him this package http://www.bestmanspeech.largestnetwork.com on how to write a best man speech. It relieved the stress and his speech was superb, hilarious and poignant.

  • I as well as my pals have been reading the great helpful tips on your site then all of the sudden developed an awful feeling I never expressed respect to the site owner for them. The ladies happened to be consequently thrilled to read through all of them and already have surely been taking advantage of these things. Appreciation for genuinely quite kind and for considering some remarkable resources millions of individuals are really desirous to understand about. My very own honest apologies for not expressing gratitude to you earlier.

  • My developer is trying to persuade me to move to .net from PHP. I have always disliked the idea because of the costs. But he’s tryiong none the less. I’ve been using Movable-type on various websites for about a year and am worried about switching to another platform. I have heard good things about blogengine.net. Is there a way I can import all my wordpress content into it? Any kind of help would be really appreciated!
